East London Graffiti of Hackney, Brick Lane, Shoreditch

We’ve been shooting graffiti for ten years and curated a huge collection of photographs from hundreds of graffiti writers / artists. Although the format is currently popular, graffiti has never been out of trend in the UK since the first writers began tagging decades ago. Cities around Britain embraced the art-form, London was greatly influenced by the graff of New York. The four cardinal poles of the big city shared their passion in local communities and wider afield. East London graffiti is as strong today as ever before in history. The rules might have changed due to an influx of young blood but the art-form itself is rock solid.
