Collection Curated by the Estate of Jean-Michel Basquiat
Converse pays homage to street artist Jean-Michel Basquiat. This edition of Kings of Egypt III on the premium Chuck 70 is an element of a cooperation that puts a number of his most famous paintings on the canvasses of Converse classics. The artwork is reconstructed with the assistance of a digital print and needlework elements, and features famous Basquiat themes like the abstract face, cryptic lettering, and crown motif. Suede overlays and a tone patch give the look a complicated feel while yet allowing the artwork to shine.
The Chuck had reached the pinnacle of sport function and utility by 1970, and was widely recognised as the greatest basketball sneaker of all time. The Chuck 70 is created with high-quality materials and painstaking attention to detail, and it’s based on the original 1970s design. A shoe with such a long history that it has its own chronology. It’s referred to as the Chuck 70. It isn’t a pair of footwear. It’s all about the footwear here.
The chance to customise your own Basquiat All Stars is one of the most exciting elements of this collaboration. The partnership adds some of Converse’s most recognisable elements and motifs to classics, including special Chuck Taylor All Star versions that allow you to pay tribute to his history in your own unique way. Colors, crown patterns, and other elements can be combined in a variety of ways.
