London has countless spots for painting graffiti in the city. Street art gets much of the attention from outsiders and tourists, but graffiti is stronger than ever. All styles are represented both old school and new formats. Where some crews stick to traditional methods, others crew are forever creating new ways of painting letters. The wall in Hackney has been painted by hundreds of writers and artists over the past decade. It sits alongside a popular canal route through the city and changes on a weekly basis. On the run up to the Olympic Games in 2011, Police began raiding the spot and arresting artists. It took a few years after the games before writers started painting their again.
